THE SHAPE OF THE MOMENT
On Wednesday we invite you to experience two forms of modern jazz. The subsequent concert in the hands of European musical stars will be full of spontaneous and unexpected twists, bringing together a thousand different sensations and emotions. Afterwards, a prominent Czech saxophonist will balance between traditional jazz and original multi-genre combinations.

Thursday will offer a peek into the future of Czech jazz with an exclusive project by this year’s JGTT residents. Afterwards you will hear a band influenced by American jazz tradition led by Czech-American organist.

A MASTER'S CHAOS
The French band Chromb will perform, mixing jazz with other genres from rock to punk, pop to dance music. You can expect music without prejudices and genre restrictions, noise explosions, dance groovy or deviant performances. Before them, one of the most interesting new bands on the Czech and Slovak scene will play. Original, creative and contemporary music of many positions and moods - that's the definition of KIN.

Saxophonist Radek Zapadlo studied at Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. He is considered one of the best Czech saxophonists of the past twenty years. He currently plays as part of: Vilém Spilka Quartet, Cotatcha Orchestra, Ondřej Ruml a Matěj Benko Quintet, Pavel Zlámal a DCO, Four in Blue.
Workshop: Melody in improvisation
We will be creating melodies, with a focus on rhythmicity. We will explore how to align one’s sound with musical style and talk about correct instrument setting, especially concerning the mouthpiece and reed.

FREEDOM AND DREAMS
While the festival started with an exhibition of contemporary young music of the Czech Republic, it will finish with an exploration of similar representation within Europe with an added value in the form of world-renowned drummer Jim Black.
Both bands capture listeners’ attention through music that is raw, personal, and exhilarating in its technical precision and depth of resulting sensations.
